Dogfish Head Craft Brewery Tap Takeover

Wednesday, April 3, 2019 5:00pm

One of the leaders of craft beer, we are honored to host them this evening. "At every turn, our restless desire to create what hasn’t yet been imagined keeps us bringing new stories, new tastes, and new experiences to you. Because we don’t jump on the bandwagon, we are the funky drummer. Every day is an exploration. A thoughtful search through a crowded world, we search for that thing that makes us pause - that idea that excites us, the inspiration we can’t ignore. The journey can be unpredictable…but that’s what makes it kind of magical."

Tap list for the eve:

120 Minute IPA - “The Holy Grail for hopheads! Clocking in at 15-20% ABV, 120 Minute IPA is continuously hopped with a copius amount of high-alpha American hops throughout the boil and whirlpool, and then dry-hopped with another pallet of hops. Unfiltered and abundently hoppy.” Imperial IPA, 18% ABV

Liquid Truth Serum - “A unique process involving pelletized, powdered, leaf and liquefied hops makes for a blissfully inefficient IPA that's truthfully hoppy without being deceptively bitter. You'll find the perfect match of citrusy and tropical notes, making for a zesty finish...honest.” IPA, 7% ABV

American Beauty - “This year, American Beauty is back for an encore! Clocking in at 6.5% ABV (to mark the year the Grateful Dead was formed, 1965), this psychedelic pale ale is brewed with granola and succulent wildflower honey, and boasts malty and sweet notes of honey, toasted grain and citrus. After one taste of American Beauty, there will be nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile.” Pale Ale, 6.5% ABV

Dragons & YumYums - “A music collaboration of epic proportions with The Flaming Lips, this lip smackingly tart pale ale is brewed with dragonfruit, yumberry, passion fruit, pear juice and black carrot juice for an explosion of fruit in every sip!” Pale Ale, 6.5% ABV

The Perfect Disguise - “On the surface, The Perfect Disguise looks like a straightforward Kölsch with a crisp Kölsch yeast and traditional German malts and hops … but things aren’t always what they seem. With a quick sniff and a slight sip, you’re greeted by a creamy mouthfeel and full body thanks to the addition of a unique German chit malt - the first hint that this beer may be somewhat different. Hiding deeper behind that German disguise is the double dry-hopping of an American Double IPA, with nearly 4 lbs. of German and American hops per barrel. It brings tropical flavors of citrus, tangerine, mango, gooseberries and peach.” Double IPA, 8% ABV

Namaste White - “A witbier bursting with good karma. Made with dried organic orange slices, fresh-cut lemongrass and a bit of coriander, this Belgian-style white beer is a great thirst quencher. Namaste White was originally brewed at the pub in Rehoboth Beach with Dogfish’s Italian friend Leo from Birra del Borgo. It was a tribute to their friends at 3 Fonteinen brewery in Belgium.” Witbier, 4.8% ABV
