A Sonoma Legend Deconstructed: Simi Reserve Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Tuesday, May 7, 2019 6:30pm, $25
SOLD OUT! Wine has been made under the Simi name since 1876 in Sonoma, and in 1989, famed winemaker Zelma Long orchestrated the planting of Simi’s Goldfields Vineyard, the catalyst for their massive success producing Chardonnay. Ray’s has fortuitously received bottles of the individual Chardonnays that go into the final “blend” of Simi’s Reserve Russian River Valley Chardonnay. We will taste the five different vineyard selections and clones of Chardonnay from said legendary vineyard along with the finished wine, as well as a few other treasures from Simi. Second only to being in the actual vineyard, this evening will give insight as to how Simi has created one of the greatest selections of Chardonnay in California. This class will be restricted to 25 seats due to the limited amount of wine available.
