Sake: The Styles and Regions Behind Japan’s Unique Brew

Back by popular demand! Sake has been made in Japan for over 2,000 years. For many of us in the West, this beverage seems exotic and complicated, yet Sake is simply a delicious alcoholic beverage brewed from rice. This class will break down the distinctions between the main types of sake including: Junmai, Junmai Ginjo, Junmai Daiginjo, Nigori, and Honjozo. Ray’s team will be joined Sake expert Ryan Mellinger who will lead the tasting and presentation. Ryan is the Joto Sake Sales Manager for the Northeast and North Central US, and she has completed the Wine & Spirits Education Trust Level 3 Sake Certification!
