SOLD OUT! Sommeliers and the wine industry in general loves to talk about Old World wines vs. New World wines. In this class we will objectively explore this concept by tasting four pairs of different wines, each pair made from the same grapes but from different regions of the world, and with different wine making philosophies behind them. This fun experiment shows off how the place a grape is grown has such a great effect on the taste of the wine it makes. We will feature: Napa Cabernet vs. Bordeaux, Oregon Pinot Noir vs. Burgundy, Barossa Shiraz vs. French Syrah, California’s Rhone Rangers vs. Chateauneuf du Pape.
