Tuesday, January 14, 2020 6:30pm, $25
SOLD OUT! Sommeliers and the wine industry in general loves to talk about Old World wines vs. New World wines. In this class we will objectively explore this concept by sampling four pairs of wines, each pair made from the same grapes but from different regions of the world, with different winemaking philosophies behind them. This fun experiment shows off how the place a grape is grown has such a great effect on the taste of the wine it makes. We will feature Napa Cabernet vs. Bordeaux, Oregon Pinot Noir vs. Burgundy, Barossa Shiraz vs. French Syrah and California’s Rhone Rangers vs. Chateauneuf du Pape.
