Event FAQ

How many people can the event space at Ray's Wauwatosa hold? 

Our event space accommodates up to 50 guests comfortably.

How many people can the event space & Ray's Bar hold? 

Up to 100 guests

What is included with my rental? 

• Exclusive use of the event space

• Access to three TVs with cable

• Ability to support PowerPoint presentations, movies, or music from your device

• Use of tables, chairs, and basic setup

Can I bring in my own food? 

Yes, outside food is allowed.

All catering must come from a licensed caterer.

We cannot allow homemade food.

Sterno heaters with chaffing dishes required for hot food.

Please keep in mind we do not have a kitchen for catering or guest use.

Outside food clean up is the responsibility of the event host or caterer.

There is a $100.00 charge to hire Ray's staff for clean up.

If Ray's staff is not booked and clean up is not completed, a $150.00 cleaning fee will be assessed to the credit card on file.

The guest or caterer must supply all plates, napkins, utensils.

Are decorations allowed?

  • Yes! You're welcome to decorate the space 
  • No glitter, confetti or loose decoration 
  • No open flames  
  • All decor must leave the building with you including balloons  
  • No tape or adhesive on walls, windows, fixtures or ceilings 
  • Any violation of these policies will inquire a $100.00 cleaning fee 

Venue Staffing & Onsite Support 

  • Ray’s event staff and bartenders will be on site to greet and guide you.
  • All Events will have 2 Bartenders staffed in Ray's Bar.

Can I rent the space for just an hour?

  • All rentals have a three-hour minimum. Please figure in set up and packup time when booking. If you’d like to host a shorter event, you’re still welcome to book, but the three-hour minimum fee applies. Most events use this amount of time at the very minimum. 


What time can events start or end?

  • We can host events any day of the week starting at 8am and ending at 9pm. Late-night events are available but must end by Midnight. 




Can I set up before my rental time?

  • Event setup and teardown must be completed within your rental time. If you need extra time, please book accordingly.






Do you allow live music or DJs?

  • We do not. You will have access to the overhead sound system to play your own music from your phone, tablet or other device. 







Can children attend events?

Yes—children are welcome for private events. However, alcoholic beverages will only be served to guests 21+ with valid ID. Children must stay within the event space for the duration of the event.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, a $250.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the space on the date requested. The amount will be applied toward your final balance.


What is your payment schedule? 

The $250.00 deposit secures your date and time. Event spaces cannot be held without a deposit. 

Final beverage and rental payment must be made 14 days in advance of the event. 

Refund & Cancellation Timing 

14–30 days before event, credit toward future booking 

Less than 14 days before event, no refund — deposit forfeited
