A Bourbon Holiday with J. Henry & Sons

A Bourbon Holiday with J. Henry & Sons

At Ray’s, we know a thing or two about family tradition—after all, we’ve been family owned and operated since 1961. That’s why we’re especially excited to welcome another Wisconsin family business with deep local roots: J. Henry & Sons Bourbon.

The Henry family’s story begins on their farm outside Dane, Wisconsin, where they’ve been growing corn, wheat, and rye for generations. When they set out to make bourbon, they chose heirloom red corn first developed at the University of Wisconsin in 1939—grain that Joe Henry’s father, Jerry, once farmed for decades. Today, J. Henry & Sons is the only distillery in the world using this mashbill, creating bourbons that are uniquely tied to Wisconsin’s land, history, and heritage.

This special evening will showcase a lineup that highlights the depth and creativity of J. Henry’s craft:

J. Henry Patton Road – Private Barrel Pick for Ray’s

J. Henry Spooner Rye – Single Barrel Cask Strength

J. Henry La Flamme Reserve – Armagnac Finished Bourbon

J. Henry Bellefontaine Reserve – Cognac Finished Bourbon

J. Henry Reserve Sevillana Rye – Vino Naranja Finished Rye

Join us as we raise a glass with the Henry family and the Ray’s family—two Wisconsin legacies built on hard work, craft, and community. It’s more than a tasting, it’s a celebration of what it means to build something lasting, one generation at a time.

We’re proud to host J. Henry & Sons, a family-owned Wisconsin distillery whose story begins on their Dane County farm with heirloom red corn and generations of tradition. From farm to glass, their bourbon is uniquely tied to Wisconsin’s land and history.

Special, event-only pricing will be available to our guests on all sampled pours.
